This photo denotes a woman walking at night in a city while it is raining or has just been raining. The style of impressionism illustrated in this photo uses the rain drop on glass effect to connote that it is raining or wet. This creates a meaning that could connote the woman's feelings as the way she is walking seems rigid and in a hurry, this could connote that she is stressed and is rushing, this can link to the weather as darkness and the rain could also describe her emotions. Another theory I have about this photo, is that the women is in awe of the surroundings that she finds herself in. This can be connoted by the brightness of the colours of the city buildings, that are used to create that impressionism style. Also the way her head is inclined is as if it is looking at the brightness of the city. This adds to the feeing of excitement as the colours are extremely bright and vibrant. The main editing techniques used in this photo is the rain drop window pane effect, this adds transparent dots of water, connoting a wet environment. The soft focus technique is also used to blur the model slightly to show motion, as if she were moving in real life. The soft focus is also used to give the buildings a blur maybe to enhance the models movement as well, I believe it also creates a warm atmosphere in comparison with the cold rain dots and dark sky. That's what I believe the colours could connote.

This photo denotes a building copied twice, each section of this photo sees an exact copy that is slightly faded. This is in keeping with the Impressionism movement, because this photo shows a real object, in the form of a large building. The faded aspect of this photo could connote what the building was, and could mean that the building has been knocked down, the faded aspect could be seen as the buildings spirit, thus connoting loss. I believe the meaning of this photo is that buildings are being taken down for no reason, thus explaining the faded aspect. Also the bright yet old effect called sepia connotes the age of the buildings thus linking it back to the demolishing of the building idea. The fade out effect is the main technique used in this impressionism photo. This technique gives the main subject a sense of loss and stature. In this case the continuous faded technique makes the buildings seem larger than reality and the faded aspect connotes the sense that they have gone. Another technique that is used here is the repetition of a single object this can link back to the sense of stature mentioned earlier.
Recreation
I decided to shoot my images in town in a similar setting to the picture by Eduard Gordeev I am trying to recreate. In the distance of the photo you can clearly see a city, which is why I chose to pick the town location. I used my friend to be the female model for my recreation, I told my model to wear a bright hoodie to make it vibrant and visible in my photo, in comparison to the black dark leggings. I took various photos in town to see which background fitted my copy best. All photos has the model walking away from the camera as that was in the original photo I was wanting to recreate. For all these photos the shutter speed on my camera was set on 1/8 I did this to get a good amount of blur to connote motion. The aperture was just below the average aperture to allow that little more light into the camera to make the surroundings more vibrant.
I chose this photo above as it shows the blur of light very prominently through the use of my shutter speed setting of 1/8. I believed this was the best one as the lights are vibrant and the darkness of the setting, this making it more like the photo I wanted to recreate.
As the photo I took did not have raindrops on. I decided to edit raindrops as it would more realistic and more visible. I began creating a brush that would scatter circles around the photo thus creating the positioning of each individual raindrop. I then used the distort filter after converting my raindrop layer to a smart layer meaning I could edit the layer even more. This distort filter made the raindrop circles more realistic. I then edited the layer style to create depth and transparency using a bossing tool and colour tool, always changing the opacity to 100% and the angle of light at 120% percent creating a reflection and shine.
Completed Impressionism Recreation
I believe in my recreation it connotes the same meaning than Eduard Gordeev,s photo, that meaning being the sense of awe as the colours of my photo are bright and vibrant thus connoting the same thing as before that being the magnificent buildings and the woman be in awe of them. The rain drops also connoting a wet environment and the blur showing the motion of my model, also connoting that she maybe in a rush showing her feelings of stress.
